Well the wedding season has certainly kicked in now, with at least 2 weddings a weekend for the next 17 weeks. One of the bussiest weekends is at the end of July where it sees us shooting a full day at Bagden Hall near Huddersfield on the friday, only to be shooting up to Scotland the next day. We have our first wedding at the fantastic Edingburgh Zoo! a venue called the Mansion, very much looking forward to it too.

We have also been awarded the wedding photography job for this years Wakefield Express wedding of the year. Having provided a first class service for The Dewsbury Reporters wedding of the year, the group decided to award Wakefieild Express's wedding of the year to us. Quality does count.

Weddings and the Studio

An exciting future ahead....

Marlin Images is now specialising in Wedding photography, and Commercial work. Separating from the studio in Wakefield enables Mark to concentrate on his ever growing award winning wedding photography.

Sarah Robinson who has been my studio co-ordinator is taking over the running of the studio and will all come under one brand with Sisters MC Ltd, who are the salon based on the ground floor.

Start of the wedding season.......

Wedding season got started yesterday, only 30 days after last years stopped!

We started off the day in Bradford, dropping my assistant Caroline, off with the groom. A quick dash was then needed to get to Bagden Hall where I needed to be to photograph the bride.

A little while later I was off to the church, Hanging Heaton, St Pauls where I met up with the vicar Paul Crabb. Brought back a few years as Paul actually did the marriage service for myself and my wife Joanne. (happy memories too).

Then after a great service off back to Bagden Hall where we were greeted by the usual drinks and smiling staff (Helen and Kam). Glorious skies, friendly people and a bride and groom that are obviously mad for each other. So much laughter and all had a great time.

The night was finished off with one of our slideshows, which created the usual screaming and cheering upon finishing and enjoyed by all.

Myself and all my staff want to wish Sally & Anthony all the very best for thier future life together. You deserve it guys,

Finally we have our finished proof for the cedar court Wedding brochures. This brochure will be available very soon from either the Huddersfield hotel or Wakefield Hotel. There are wedding fayres coming up at both locations in the next month or so, well worth a visit.

Wedding photography on Look North....

Did you all see Look North tonight? or this evening? you may well have seen myself and some of the business we recommend.

We covered and provided a second wedding day for Marc & Sylvia Day after their day was ruined, their wedding photographer made a mess of the photos and that's an understatement...

A list of the suppliers will be on here tomorrow but the main thing is, Marc & Sylvia did get the day of their dreams, and with quality photos, venue, hair, make-up, favors, baloons with room decorations and with Bagden hall providing the venue and food, was a day to remember for them.

NEW MASTER PHOTOGRAPHER..........

Marlin Images is proud to announce that Sarah Robinson our new studio coordinator has gained the qualification of Master Photographer.

Sarah came on board a couple of years ago to cover maternity leave while our Studio coordinator was off for maternity leave. Over a period of time Sarah has worked her self up and took over the position earlier this year. Sarah has worked extremely hard for this and I and all involved with Marlin would like to congratulate her on her success. A big well done, Sarah's panel can be seen here....

Advertising work for WMDC.....

What a busy weekend, which started off on friday. Commissioned to do a full days photography at our studio for Wakefield Metropolitan District Council. This photography will be used in and around the Wakefield area on Buses, Bus stops and the larger billboard advertising boards.

Unfortunately we are unable to show you all the photography and the relevant images chosen until the launch of the campaign. But needless to say it was a really good and productive day.

Keep watching and sometime in October i am sure we will be able to bring you the images and the finished adverts.
